High Concept:

An arcade style platforming game where the player takes direct control of a ball in a Breakout-style game.

Engine: Zero Engine

The game has glitched and the paddle has gone missing, and it's up to you, taking the role of the ball, to explore the buggy game. Find a way out and hopefully you can find your Paddle companion. You're in control of the distance of the jumps, but the ball can't stop moving.

What went right?

The mechanics were simple for the player to learn and understand, but hard to master, providing addicting gameplay.

What went wrong?

The 2 ball levels require a substantial jump in difficulty and mental load. There was some expectation of this, but it's more dramatic than what anybody had predicted.

What did I learn?

Removing all colour is actively a benefit to the colour-blind. Many of our colour coded levels were nearly impossible for them, but the levels where it was removed allowed them to progress easily through the levels.
